It started on our living room floor
Not in a meeting room or a design lab — but in a mess of chewed toys and scratched furniture, with two very demanding inspectors: a dog with endless energy and a cat who had claimed ownership of the house.
Our story
As pet owners, we always wanted the best for ours. But every time we went looking for accessories — reliable walking kit, a comfortable place to sleep — we ran into the same problem. Products were either poorly made, or they looked wonderful and turned out to be useless in practice.
We came to think pet accessories should combine practicality and beauty, and that neither dogs nor cats should be an afterthought.
That is when CatPapi was born.

How we choose things
Everything is sourced directly from manufacturers and brought in under a UK company. The difference is what happens between the factory listing and the page you read.
We check real dimensions, real weights and pack quantities before anything goes live. Supplier listings are full of phrases like escape-proof, anti-bite and prevents chin acne — we strip them. If a claim cannot be evidenced, it does not go on the page, even when it would sell better.
What we do not sell
Four categories are regulated in the UK, and getting them wrong harms animals rather than just disappointing customers. We stay on the side of the line we can stand behind.
