Using a slip lead safely

A slip lead tightens when it is pulled, so it is meant for supervised walking and handling only. Set the stopper before you set off, keep the loop high on the neck behind the ears, and never use a slip lead to tie a dog up or leave one on an unattended dog.

Care

Rinse in cool water and hang to dry. Do not tumble dry. Check the rope and stopper for fraying or wear before each walk and replace the lead if either is damaged.
