Cushioned Slicker Brush for Fluffy Coats

A slicker brush with a cushioned backing behind the pins, so the head gives a little as it meets the coat instead of staying rigid. It is the type of brush used on curly and fluffy coats — bichons, poodles and the cockapoo end of the spectrum — where you are lifting and separating the coat rather than dragging through it.

Using it well

Work in layers, lifting a section of coat and brushing the layer underneath before letting it fall back. Use light pressure and follow the direction the coat grows. On a curly coat, brushing only the surface leaves mats forming underneath where you cannot see them.

Care

Pull loose hair out of the pins after each session and rinse the head under warm water if it needs it. Dry fully before storing. Do not put in the dishwasher.
