Snuffle Mat for Dogs

How to use it

1. Scatter a portion of your dog's dry food across the mat and work it down into the folds.
2. Start easy. On the first few goes, leave food visible on the surface so your dog understands the game.
3. Make it harder once they have the idea, pushing food deeper into the layers.
4. Put it away between sessions. A mat left out all day stops being interesting.

Important — supervise every session

This is an enrichment mat, not a chew toy. Some dogs will try to chew or pull at the fabric, and swallowed fabric can cause a blockage that needs surgery. Stay with your dog while they use it, take it away if they start chewing rather than sniffing, and replace it if it becomes damaged.

Care

Machine wash on a gentle cycle and air dry. Wash it regularly — food crumbs work down into the layers and a mat that is never washed goes stale faster than it looks like it should.
