Before you buy

Weight is only half the question with a carrier. A pet needs to be able to stand up, turn round and lie down inside, so a long cat and a stocky one of the same weight do not need the same bag. Measure your pet nose to tail and shoulder height before ordering.

Using it safely

• Keep the mesh panels clear so air can move through the bag.
• Never leave a pet in a carrier in a parked car, even with windows open and even on a mild day.
• Do not leave a pet shut in the carrier for longer than the journey itself.
• Let a nervous cat sit in the open bag at home for a few days before the first trip. A carrier that only ever appears before the vet becomes something to hide from.

Care

Wipe clean with a damp cloth and air dry fully before folding away. Do not machine wash.
