Size guide

Weight is a starting point rather than the whole answer on a four-leg suit, because leg length matters as much as body mass. A leggy dog and a stocky one at the same weight will not wear the same size. If your dog is between two, take the larger one.

Getting a dog used to it

A four-leg suit feels far stranger to a dog than a coat does, and most will walk oddly or freeze the first time. Put it on indoors for a few minutes at a time over several days before using it on a walk.

Using it well

Take the suit off once you are back indoors. A waterproof layer does not breathe, so leaving it on a dry dog will make them too warm. Check the fit before each walk and never leave a suit on an unsupervised dog.

Care

Rinse off mud and hang to dry. Do not tumble dry or dry on a radiator, which can crack the waterproof finish.
