A word on the noise
These are loud, and that is the point as far as your dog is concerned. If you work from home or have someone sleeping in the house, the small duck or the elephant is the kinder choice. There is no volume control on a duck.
Important — supervise every session
Plush toys are not chew toys. A determined dog will open one, and the squeaker and the stuffing inside can both be swallowed and cause a blockage.
- Stay with your dog while they play with it.
- Check it over regularly for splits along the seams.
- Throw it away as soon as the stuffing or the squeaker is exposed — do not repair it and carry on.
Care
Hand wash in cool water and air dry fully. Do not tumble dry. Washing machines tend to destroy squeakers.
